MRM = Memang Rela Mati

trying to revise on subjects I have been perpetually lost at all semester, dry ones that are full of theories and processes and turning down jobs because it's not possible to juggle them with university life.

I'm also fearing failure and the possibility of repeating these units. Oh God.

One more paper. Let's do this!

Okay, rant over.

Rock Me!

Have you ever felt like dressing up like your favorite rock star? Well, on and off, I have. I remember wanting to dress up like Britney Spears (I know she's not a rockstar, but that's not the point). The point is, I love to play dress up, and I'm putting in a small new segment onto tO0C very soon, so stay tuned for that.

This post is about winning a trip for two New York City for Anna Sui's 2010 Fashion Show. Gasp!
When RemyJ came home from NYC after attending the New York Fashion week a couple of months back, he didn't even know who Vivienne Tham was. OMG - epic fail.

So I looked into this contest, called the Anna Sui "Rock Me", and it's actually really easy to win. Watch:

A few of my friends and I have already gotten into it!

There's Lady Gaga

Matthew Bellamy from MUSE

Michelle Trachtenberg might not be a rock star, but she does give off that vibe in Gossip Girl =)

Just pot up a photo or video of yourself in a cute rock-style outfit and tag it with the keyword #rockme. After that, the contest admin will find you and send you a notification if you've won a prize. They'vew also got a Facebook page that you could check out to post your entry and see other contest entries as well!

Miracles Do Happen, Right?

I'm going to need some to pass my exams.

Missing Times

It hasn't been ages, but it's still been too long.

I Should Start

It’s such a nice Sunday afternoon. Bright and sunny. Perfect day to sit by the pool.

But yeah. I’m at home with a Human Resource Management textbook and trying to cram in as much information as possible.

Anyway, I can’t wait for finals to be over. Here I am procrastinating the revision process by blogging. So many things are going to happen after the 12th of November, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it in time. So stay tuned!

Next Friday night:

The following weekend:

Remember sometime last month when I blogged about the E-Karaoke event at a few locations? Well, here are some photos of people who actually took part! So sporting.

They’ve got another event coming up on the 21st of November along Jalan Bukit Bintang with a lot of stuff happening and a lot of performances, so be sure to check that out too, mmkay? The fact that it’s going to take up the whole street already tells you how big it’s going to be!

There are loads of surprises happening that day, so you've gotta head over for yourself to find out what's going to go down, but here's what I can tell you:

There'll be performances by Bunkface and a group sing-a-long. There's also going to be a Shuffle Dance, Virtual Dance and Face Painting. Also, for bloggers like me, there'll be PCs there for us to do a little Live Blogging ;)

Would you judge me if I told you I was looking most forward to the face painting? =p

Tall Enough

Another one of those late-night browses, since my Internet is up and running again. Thank you Streamyx!!!

And a comment that followed, translating:

"Are you dreaming?
Are you searching for something? (I can't decipher his accent but I am guessing this is what he said)
Have you ever dreamt of this life?
Hi, I love you"

Generasi Hebat:

What makes the people in this generation so great? IMHO, they are the people who achieve things at a young age. They are also the people who achieve things when they started out with no resources. The ones that came from a poor family, studied hard, got themselves somewhere in life and then moved on to pioneer many of the great things we see in the world today. Okay, take a step back and look at this country. The great ones would be TS YTL and what he’s accomplished for himself and his family, the two generations that followed. SP Setia, the brainchild of TS Liew Kee Sin is reason enough to deem him as one of this generation’s hebat people. One on my friends stay on his developed properties.

So one day, I would like to be one of my generations greatest. I’d be a “Boleh Go-getter”. Imagine how proud my parents would be of me. Imagine how much money I could make!

“I would make so much money I could foam at the mouth. I would have so much money I could hire someone to wipe the foam off my mouth for me! I would have THAT MUCH MONEY!”, (KidSisterAmelia, 2009).

*hit rewind*

I need to get my degree first. Sigh.

It’s crunch time in uni once again.

It feels as if times like these come by too often. My final assignment due last Friday carries a weight of 40%. Finals are in less than a week, two units of which I’ve been perpetually lost in (all semester, at least).

But like I said, it feels like this happens way too often. Coffee in the morning, noon and night. Burning the midnight oil trying to complete assignments on time, on top of everything else. Dark, purple circles under my eyes, which can only be covered up with concealer. But then again, half, if not most of the time I’m too damn lazy to apply anything to uni altogether.

Mom and Dad were saying I look really “chaan” the other day, to which I snappily retorted “Well, it’s Monash, you remember what it was like being in Monash, right?” They both graduated from Monash, Clayton, you see. Hence they are very proud of themselves and hoping their daughter will accomplish the same.

Then last weekend when I didn’t tag along for my family’s usual grocery shopping spree, my dad arrived home and called out for me like he had something HUGE to show me. Honestly, I started thinking to myself “Oh God, what did he get conned into buying THIS time?” only to rush downstairs to hear him say “Nah, Manda! Stay alert, stay awake with Brands Essence of Chicken! Aktif Alert!!!” and shove a big box into my hands. –.-“

It’s good that it’s working though. I take one before I go to bed so I can relax and one before I leave the house in the morning so that I feel refreshed.

I don’t say no to coffee though.

Come On November!

YES! It's November! Only 16 days til Twilight Saga's New Moon comes out. I figure, since I'm out of the closet on the whole Twilight thing, I might as well get the best out of it.

So what did you do for Halloween? The bunch of Average Joes played dress up for the Dealer's Birthday cum Halloween celebration. I had fun, did you?

Okay, so I wasn't a REAL witch... just think Bewitched with the nose-twinkling thing.

More updates soon, I promise! It's crunchtime in Monash AGAIN. Sigh.
